STUDENT PREPARATION

Clinical readiness & preparation

A transparent view of the knowledge areas and supervision considerations that can shape neurodiagnostic clinical education.

Home / Clinical readiness & preparation
01

EEG preparation topics

EEG clinical sites can ask the Academy how its current objectives address neuroanatomy, patient interaction, electrode application, International 10–20 measurement principles, instrumentation, artifacts, documentation, infection prevention, and professional conduct. Confirm which skills are introduced, practiced, or assessed.

02

IONM preparation topics

IONM clinical sites can ask about anatomy and physiology, operating-room communication and safety, instrumentation, monitoring modalities, signal-quality awareness, and supervised workflow expectations. Confirm the approved curriculum and stage of preparation for each skill.

03

Three different learning states

Introduced in coursework, practiced under supervision, and competency assessed are distinct stages. This overview does not certify a specific student or promise independent-practice readiness.

04

Request more information

Clinical managers can contact the Academy to discuss its current approved objectives, documentation, and affiliation process.

How to read student-preparation records

These are distinct educational stages, not confirmed results for any student. Clinical sites should request an Academy-approved skills matrix and current documentation.
